Holly Hunter was an American actress who became famous due to her roles in films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Holly Hunter won many awards and awards, among them an Oscar for her film Piano. The successful actress began her acting career by performing on stage, through a variety of Broadway as well as Off-Broadway productions. Passionate about acting since her childhood, she performed Helen Keller in a play during the 5th grade. She became deaf in one ear due to Mumps, but she didn't allow this handicap to hinder her desire to be an actress. After studying drama in college after which she relocated in New York City with her goals with her sights set. Hunter came across Beth Henley by chance in the lift. Together, they wrote Broadway Crimes of the Heart. The play was Hunter's first acting debut. The first time she appeared in a film was following her move to Los Angeles. Over the past three decades she's appeared in many TV and film shows. Holly Hunter won a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and also the Women in Film Lucy Award.
